In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan, Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone; Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow, In the bleak midwinter, long ago.
Our God, heaven cannot hold Him, nor earth sustain; Heaven and earth shall flee away when He comes to reign. In the bleak midwinter a stable place sufficed The Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ.
Enough for Him, Whom cherubim, worship night and day, Breastful of milk, and a mangerful of hay; Enough for Him, Whom angels fall before, The ox and ass and camel which adore.
Angels and archangels may have gathered there, Cherubim and seraphim thronged the air; But His mother only, in her maiden bliss, Worshipped the beloved with a kiss.
What can I give Him, poor as I am? If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb; If I were a Wise Man, I would do my part; Yet what I can I give Him... give my heart.
One of my favorite Christmas hymns. Let us remember the baby in the manger who came to give us life, as we celebrate this season.

SOmetimes I feel so discouraged on this weight loss journey. I work so hard and get nowhere. It is those times I have to remember that through Christ I can do all things. this song, written by Geron Davis, says it so well.
Every road I walked had led to nowhere, Everything I tried had turned out wrong. It seemed I'd lost a reason, To get up every morning. I had lot all hope and lost my song. Circumstances said I wouldn't make it, But that was all before I met The Man. He put His arms around me, I heard HIm say, "forgiven", And I knew I'd never be the same again.
Chrous Then and there, settled and done Then and there, victory won No more walking on my own, No more facing life alone, No more struggling with guilt and despair, New life began, then and there.
Now my heart is getting restless, Longing for the day he'll come. When we've fought the final fight, And our faith has been made sight, And we'll stand before the throne and hear Him say Well done, He'll say well done.
Then and there, settled and done Then and there, victory won No more pain and no more fears No more death and no more tears No more walking through the night For the Lamb will be the light No more sin and no more burdens to bear New life began, then and there
RUTHIEBEAR
I have been thinking about Father's Day this weekend. I lost my Dad in 1980. I do not think I will ever get over missing him. But We also have an ever-present Heavenly Father. This song reminds me again and again of how much He loves each of us and how vast His love is. It was sung by a group called Sierra.
YOUR LOVE Your love is an ocean Too vast to comprehend Your love is a mystery One I'll never understand You see what I can't see As You watch me from above
Everything I'll ever need Everything I long to be The very air I breathe Is found in Your love Deeper than the deepest sea Your living water runs in me My very heartbeat Is found in Your love
Your love is the rising sun That burns from dusk to dawn Your love is the silver moon In darkness Your light is drawn You hold eternity And at the same time You hold me
I am consumed to think that You In all Your Majesty Would be consumed with me
