Looking for a Fun Challenge this Summer? Want to get connected with a Team to support you through your Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle. If yes, then consider joining the BL Challenge that starts early June. Each week 11 teams of 24 Active, do fun nutritional and fitness challenges. The challenges promote a healthy lifestyle and If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Spring we had Gardening Time, Help Fill Peter Rabbit’s Basket and Bingo. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Summer challenge. To get to the Challenge go to my page and click on the “BLUE BIGGEST LOSER” Icon, or copy and paste the link below, or let me know and I can send you an invite. Join the Team then sign up on the waitlist. It’s the thread right below the Chit Chat.

Thank you for your sweet comment on my page Beth! emoticon
I am in awe of you
Everyone thinks I have come through so much...but I was very fortunate with my bout with cancer

As you read my blog you will see I have gone through debilitating back and neck discs leading to implants/ cadaver discs and later a morphine pump-- which I have now had for 8 years--
the pump let me resume my life somewhat (less uncontrolled agony)
then i needed a scooter because i could not walk
new drs in FL finally reduced that pain and I had to rebuild my legs in my pool in my new home
i did so well I started palying golf
4 months later-- my knees "blew"
doctors misdiagnosed for several months until i learned that I needed knee replacements
I was so frustrated from the ten years with the back i refused (yeah....)
tried all sorts of alternatives..got much much worse
finally oct and dec 2013 replaced the knees
rebuilt my legs again and was walking, just STARTIng to play golf
they found breast cancer--several areas... suggesting double mast at first, explored more options
then my pump blew but was a long road fixing it-- 2 weeks in the hospital of H3LL (last July)
finally that was resolved and the next week was cancer surgery
that was a hallelujiah event as all the cancer was GONE
they had gotten it in the biopsies!!
thankfully we had tried a lumpectomy first
    no chemo, no radiation!
then in dec another foot surgery
NOW back to walking 1.75 miles a day--not easy yet though!
HOPING to be playing golf in next month or so but my partner has been ill

With all the pain and surgeries, being housebound and not able to walk...the cancer experience was the worst, coupled with your bone surgeries???
Id be thrilled to learn what you have learned from the experience and how you think your perspective of life and healthcare may have shifted through all of it

Do you get weary of rebuilding your body each time? I am at that point right now...

Encouraged to hear your positive posts!

    Welcome Back!

You have overcome a lot in the last few years.
You will find a knowledgeable, supportive community. One of the best ways to stay accountable is to be active on your Spark Teams. Plus, it's a good way to meet others with similar interests.
The nutrition and fitness trackers are very helpful as well.
You can do this! You are stronger than you know.

    Best of luck to you.
