Ok.......I am trying to come back.............again. The past few years have been horrible for my personal and financial life. I had two neck surgeries in 3 months and since then been on a downhill slide. I need so much support and am not getting it at home. I am scared to exercise or too depressed to, or....just too lazy. I have pain most days so it is really hard to get going. I just can't let myself gain anymore weight.

I know what I have to do to lose weight. I know I can't keep putting it off for tomorrow, or next week, or next month. Why can't I JUST DO IT?!

My Goals:
I would like to learn to make healthy choices for a healthy lifestyle without having to obsess about it. I would love to reach my goal of 120 lbs, but I realize the number on the scale isn't as important as my fitness level and the way my body feels. I have pain almost all the time. I had two surgeries recently and since them there has been some improvement with pain, but not fixed. I know I need to get moving and exercising but I think I am scared or depressed or ...?

My ulitimate goal is to start living life...and not waiting to live "after" I lose the weight.

My Program:
WHAT PROGRAM? Booo! That's the problem. I am not doing anything anymore.

I know I have to:

Tracking/Journaling all of my food.

Drinking a ton of water.

Cardio: 30-60 mins/day x 5x/week.

Strength training: 15 mins/day x 2x/week.(Gotta get better about strength training)

Will start walking again once Spring hits! And will get back to Yoga once the Back Doc gives me the go ahead. He said NO YOGA, which is weird because I have always heard it is great for strength and flexibility in your core, which is what I need, but I will listen to him. I have numerous slipped/herniated discs in my back, and degenerative disc disease, so that's an obstacle I have to contend with. Oh well, we all have "something".

Something that has also helped me: Spreading light and positive thoughts, creating positivity in all that I come across, forgiving those who I should have forgiven years ago AND loving and forgiving myself.

Isn't it funny how, we women know exactly what it is that we need to do to accomplish a goal and yet with this ONE issue we are unable to. I quit smoking a year ago. It was a little difficult at first but I hung in there and was able to no longer crave a cigarette. But with food, you are not able to just quit. That's why I believe that having an issue with food is worse that being a drug addict. At least the addict has the opportunity to stop. If I could just stop eating all together I would lose weight no problem. All or none. But with food I HAVE to eat. It is not optional. Herein lies my dielema. When I do eat I want to devour like an addict trying to get high. Let's tell the crackhead that they can smoke crack but only 2 times a day instead of the usual 10. Would that work heck no. So this is why I am obese.

    Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comment on my page. Good luck to you also! I am at exactly the same place as you size wise, emotional eater, etc. If you need a diet buddy, let me know. I think we'd be a good match. Have a great day! :)

Hi! Great job losing that first 10 pounds! Have you carried around a sack of potatoes yet? THAT'S what you used to ask your knees and you back to carry. Good job! Keep up the hard work (and I know it's hard). You can do this!

Thanks for the comments. You too are doing an excellent job. Just getting on here and acknowledging that there is a problem of sorts and finding a way to fix the problem was an great boost for me. It is coming off slowly. Sometimes it is easy to get frustrated, but as long as it is coming off I really don't care how long it takes. Keep it up!!
