I'm gonna guess that when you squatted you either leaned your knees too far in (not a wide enough stance, pressure on the inside or your foot) or most likely weren't in your heels enough and wound up with your knees too far over your toes.
You can try icing it on and off for 20 minutes at a time to help reduce the inflamation, although it might be a bit late for that. But it might help. Also, do NOT do the exercises that are making it hurt worse. Trust me- it will set your farther back to push it now and damage it than it will to just let the thing heal. Have you tried presses? Sometimes I can do leg presses without causing any irritation to my knees, whereas squats bug it. If you are able to press, put your foot a bit higher on the plate than traditionally done and press through your heel. You should be so much in your heels that your toes almost feel like they are lifted. When you are able to do squats, same for them.
Also, is FLEXCHEF (Ruben), one of your friends? If he is, I'd run this same question by him. He knows more than I do about this kind of thing and can probably give you better answers. 3761 days ago
