I've started and stopped working out so many times it's ridiculous - I go a good 4 or 5 weeks strong and then either I go out of town for work or have a lot of evening appointments...and then it's all downhill. I stop a McDonald's and say, "l'll start again tomorrow so why not enjoy these fries/hamburger..." and tomorrow becomes 2 or 3 months later.

I remember when working out was apart of my everyday routine, it energized me, it made me feel good...I remember feeling so good about running on the treadmill, drenched in sweat but going strong at mile 5. I remember putting on clothes and having a flat belly that was defined. That young woman was here a little over 2 years ago.

It's time to get past the Week 5 slump and make it happen. There are so many events coming up this Spring/Summer/Fall that I want to look AND feel my best. I'm hoping that Sparkpeople will help me with the motivation, consistency and accountability that I need.

Nothing is free in this world and I guess they call it hard work for a reason. So, here I go...it's time to not only remember what it felt and looked like when I was healthy/fit, but to reclaim it again.

Run the Marines Marathon on 10/130/11 in Washington, DC


My Program:
Work out 4-5 times/week

Complete 5K training program

Complete 10K training program

Complete 1/2 marathon training program

Track calories and fitness daily on Spark people

Be more active (post a minimum of 4 times/wk) on Sparkpeople Team pages

Create a Vision board prior to 2/14/10

Take a before body shot picture (boo, don't want to do this but I will)
