Introduction Text I remember so clearly what it felt like to be young and athletic. I cannot get youth back, but I can move toward better health. I have a complicated mitochondria disorder which keeps me pretty much housebound, and lots of secondary conditions, including now insulin-resistance. As elusive as health seems to be for me, Life never fails to be an adventure, and usually not the one I planned for. Joke's on me. learn to listen to the wisdom of my body; eat only healthy foods in modest portions; share with and support others; get outdoors as much as my health allows; don't let the doctors win.

organic, alkalinizing diet with moderate complex carbs, raw organic fats, and free-range, humanely slaughtered meats; avoid foods I'm sensitive too; learn from others; tell the truth in my blog and not hide my weaknesses nor my strengths.

On the surface, I am housebound with multiple health conditions and I am new empty-nester. On the inside I am full of joy and ambition that far exceed my energy levels.

I love to write, knit, read, sew, watch movies, play guitar, spend time with family and friends.
