You can do it! Just take one step at a time. One of the steps was to join Spark. emoticon Happy Valentines Day!

    Welcome :)

Friend and message me any time. I am a retired RN. I've been on Spark People for five wonderful years. I do love it here a lot. I have learned quite a bit here and gained some serious positive health goals. I also have rheumatoid arthritis. It's not fun, but I do the best I can with what I have.

Good luck to you! emoticon emoticon

Sounds like you have a lot going on and taking steps now to get healthier will make a big difference. One piece of advice that worked for me and others is to not let it get overwhelming when we think of all we want to do. Chunk it up to small bite size (no pun intended) goals.
the challenges here are great and one I particularly like is the small changes one. When I started it finally dawned on me that this had to a lifestyle and one I could live with forever. To that end, I made small sustainable changes and when one became habit, I added another.

Also set interim goals; e.g., I started in October and my initial goal was to continue my healthy eating, tracking, and staying at my reasonable calorie goal till Jan. 1. I made it and kept going. I didn't have a timetable on losing weight but did want to get back to the mid 170's (overweight and not obese) and I did that. Ended up continuing and am now at almost 67 in the best shape ever and back to my H.S. weight.
    It is possible and emoticon
