When life gives you lemons...
prayerfully you are making lemonade.
Thanks for stopping by my page.
Each of us have obstacles, some small others large, that derail our best laid plans. Fortunately, Spark People, has been equipping me with tools to avert damaging side effects that USED to be my bad patterns. The over eating, followed by guilt, followed by more over eating and more guilt - you get the picture, or may know this cycle too.

What I have learned with SP is to evaluate if I am truly hungry or am I eating for another reason. Most times, it's another reason. Now I am dealing with those issues head on instead of "suppressing," which really is the food landing on my hips and thighs, so not really suppressing anything except my self esteem.
With the pounds that I have lost, and continuing to lose, I am feeling more comfortable in my own skin. I notice that I walk with my head a little higher, not trying to shy away from everyone's gaze. I am speaking to others more, and sharing my journey when people compliment my weight loss. I tell them I will be their supporter along this journey.
I am so happy that I found SP. There's an old saying "it takes a village to raise a child;" I now also believe it takes a community (SP) to motivate and sustain long term weight loss. I'm not at my end goal yet, but I have tools in my arsenal that will get me there.
To those that have been on this journey for a while, and to newbies alike...my prayer for you all are these:
That you have love unconditionally.
That you have the support for the highs and the lows.
That you give love unconditionally.
That you ask for help and support when you need it.
That you hold yourself and others accountable.
That you celebrate your successes no matter the size.
That you find awesome cheerleaders.
That you extend yourself grace and not require 100%.
That you continue to persevere.
That you never give up on yourself or this journey.
That you love yourself, no matter your size.
That you know that you are beautiful.
Thank you SP, and fellow Sparkers. Spark on!
