My history with hymns? My mom loved music and played piano for church, and eventually organ (I taught her the basics, but never liked to play organ myself)... So - between growing up in church and having a musical mom, and then Bible College at Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music - where I was a Bible major and Music minor (piano and voice) and then was Music office secretary and music teacher for awhile, and have been involved with music in the church since then (29 years)- I guess I do know a few - especially the older ones and choruses from the 70's and 80's (I call that newer!) - however, I'm behind in all the newest praise choruses and stuff... we have such a small "country" type church, but every so often we're introduced to some. We're working on it bit by bit now...
the poem? Actually, it was given to me when my first pregnancy (27 years ago) put me in bed rest for 6 weeks... I've remembered the first line since then, but have no clue where the card ended up... I was glad I found it online. 3515 days ago

Labor Day is quickly approaching, which means summer is soon coming to an end. So make sure you celebrate this holiday the way it was intended — sit back, relax and enjoy your day off with friends and family underneath the warm sun with an ice-cold beverage in hand! After all, look on the bright side, Labor Day also means the kiddies will be back in school! :)
"Appreciating each other is a true family value, one that will bail out much of the stress on the planet and help strengthen the universal bond all people have." ~ Sara Paddison
I hope life is treating you kindly. Enjoy each step on your journey. Have a fabulous, fantastic Friday. Injoy:) Carolyn
