I've been on Weight Watchers since October of 2008, lost 79 lbs and was looking for something to help me stay motivated. Signed up with Spark in 2007 but didn't get hooked right away - now I can't believe how much I have been missing out on! Just the thing I need to keep going and get to my goal, looking forward to hearing more about all of your inspiring stories!

04/14/10 UPDATE: Made it to goal, very exciting and scary at the same time.

05/25/10 UPDATE: Made it to Lifetime in WW last night - never thought I would be able to get there, and certainly never thought I could get to this weight and stay at this weight for more than 5 minutes. Next short term goal is to be at this weight through the summer. Planning on continuing to go to WW to get weighed in every week. This truly is the first day of the rest of my life!!

11/30/10 UPDATE: It's been a full 6 months of lifetime membership in WW, and I've actually maintained the 5 - 10 lbs below my WW goal weight, so it's going well. Still attending weekly WW meetings to at least get weighed in, very excited to see what the new PointsPlus WW program is all about this very night! I've taken to weighing myself every day now at home, which I never did while losing but it seems to be helping me to stay on track.

01/11/12 UPDATE: It's been almost 2 years since I first hit my goal weight and I have put about 15 lbs back on. I've disappointed myself, but certainly not to the extent I did when I got to my highest weight years ago. The good news is that as of 1/3/12, I am back "on program" and feel much better about the future. I have discovered that I am happier when I'm losing weight than when I'm trying to maintain my weight which I'm sure says something about me - not sure what but I'm sure it means something! The goal now is to get back to my goal weight, and I am excited about achieving that.

Fitness Minutes: 28,970

My Goals:
I try to keep my goals small, so I can see progress almost continually. Right now, I'm just trying to get to Onederland, less that 5 lbs to go!

UPDATE: Ok, I'm in there now and trying to get to the 180's. Still not ready to think about my "goal weight" just trying to keep losing and getting stronger.

UPDATE: Well into the 180s now, and lost 100 lbs so far. Still have 30 or so to go, but seeing that 3 digit number was really exciting!

UPDATE (12/16/09): Still continuing to lose, but getting fearful about going to maintenance. Just do not want to go back to the way things were - hopefully with continued mindful eating and exercise, this is going to stick!

UPDATE (04/14/10) - Hit my goal at my WW meeting tonight - WooHoo indeed!!

UPDATE (05/25/10) WW Lifetime Membership is mine!

UPDATE (11/30/10) Toning is where I'm going now, I have the stamina but want to get rid of the excess flabbiness without surgery.

My Program:
My program consists of following the Weight Watchers program, which I've tried before. The difference this time is exercise, for some reason I thought I could get to where I want to be without it, and now realize how foolish that was. I'm working out with cardio 5+ days a week.

UPDATE: Going to finally start Strength Training, I've put it off long enough. Not exactly sure why I'm so fearful of this!

4/27/10 - I do strength training about 3 times a week, but honestly, I'm not loving it. What I have found and do love is Walk it Out for the Wii. I now do 60 minutes of heart pumping treadmill in the early morning, then afterwork I do 30 - 45 minutes of WIO.

Big football fan, love the Jets, but married a Patriots fan so it's been interesting! I'm an oddball, love Soap Operas too!

    Thank you for your comment. That is a great idea to turn it into a blog. I just might do that. I appreciate the kind words. I looked at your weight ticker and you have lost a PHENOMENAL amount of weight. What an inspiration you are. I am so impressed. I have actually been itching to write a blog but I was waiting till I hit Onederland. But I don't know if I can wait. Today I weighed in at 208.2. I am only 1.5 lb away form officially hitting the 60 lb mark. Maybe I will blog then. I am going to add you as a friend. You are definitely the kind of winner I want to have in my corner cheering me on and I would love to be in your corner as well.

    Thanks so much for your insightful comment on my housework/calorie burning blog. I LOVED IT! I am always in awe of those of you who are maintaining for a year or more, and now consider this lifestyle normal. That to me is my ultimate goal. It's 75 days for me now at or below goal, and counting.

    I especially LOVED your comment about feeling powerful because you KNOW you can take off a pound or two or five if you overdo on a holiday. That makes me feel so good, and it was something I hadn't thought about. I have always said I HAVE the power, it's all UP TO ME. But to actually feel powerful because I have this weight thing under control, that is new to me. But I like it. And I'm going to adopt that attitude, because I want to be in control. I'm pretty sure I DO have the power now. Like you said, I have to continue to be vigilant and strong, but I love being normal so much, I hope the desire to stay in this average-sized body is enough to keep me going FOREVER!
