I'm changing my life and this time it is for good!

Project Me
My BLC6 Team came up with this concept and I believe it's time for me to develop my 'Project Me' plan.

What does 'Project Me' mean?
Project Me means taking away all the noise and confusion that fills my life and centering my actions on myself. Not becoming selfish. But putting time and effort into making my body, mind, soul and spirit better. Project Me means that I am in control. I dictate what happens to me.

Project Me is not an easy step. It takes courage to rebuild everything you know to be yourself.

What does 'Project Me' entail?
It emcompasses every area of my life.

Body - being healthy, reaching my goal weight, becoming a runner


Mind - Although already academically inclined - I've started a book and its time for me to continue with that journey..
Within Project Me I challenge my thinking and change my thoughts to instinctively healthy ones.

Spirit - This may very well be the pillar that drives everything else. When I look back at the times I was at my healthiest weight, they corresponded to the times I was most spiritually grounded and connected to God. I've been a little to and fro these days and definitely not where I ought to be. But this morning 10.06.08, I got up at 3:00am and prayed. I need to be back where my God encompasses the entire of my life and not just a part of it. Everything is not going as I would like it to right now - but I'm holding on. What is the other option?


"PROJECT ME"
JULY-DECEMBER GOALS
Weight:-
*Lose 5lbs per month
*TARGET: 30lbs lost by December 31st, 2008
*STRETCH: 45lbs lost by December 31st, 2008
*Get under 200lbs

Nutrition:-
*Eat ONLY fruits once a week
*Eat Salads for lunch and dinner 3 times a week

Fitness :-
*Pilates once a week
*Tae Bo once a week
*40 minutes of treadmill 3 times a week

Mind :-
*Finish Fidel Castro Spoken Biography (July)
*Read Ghandi Autobiography (August)
*Read Che Autobiography (September)
*Read Marcus Garvey Autobiography (October)
*Read 1 Derek Walcott Book (November)
*Read 1 Naipaul Book (December)

Spirit:-
*3:00am prayer is a must

My Goals:
Ultimate goal - to become fit for life. That is me at 160lbs +/- 10lbs, and running a mile without even breaking a sweat. lol. i don't know what it is like to be "skinny" per say...but I just want to be able to buy 'regular' sized clothes for a change and go into a store and say - "yeah I wear medium" or "a size 12 please" lol

Seriously - I'm 25 and I don't want to die young



My Program:
- No fast food

- No Carbonated beverages.

- Trying to make water my only beverage during the week

- 40 Minutes of Cardio EVERY DAY

-Pilates 2x a week

-Tae Bo 2x a week

-Resistance Band Workout 1x a Week

Workout Schedule:
Monday: Treadmill, Pilates
Tuesday: Tae Bo, Resistance Band
Wednesday: Treadmill, Pilates
Thursday: Tae Bo, Resistance Band
Friday: Pilates
Saturday: Marathon Workour Day
Sunday: If I ain't dead - get rested for another week

I'm 25, from the Caribbean isle of Trinidad and Tobago. And all that great Caribbean food took me to where I am today! lol But no worries, I'm gonna make it. I believe.

    Good morning! Hope your Christmas was a very Blessed one! I know mine was! It was a little trying, but then most family holidays are sometimes! LOL! I am doing well, working a ton and trying to stay focused on my eating. How are you doing my friend? Did you make you challenge of no sugar, no flour till Dec. 25? That would have been very difficult for me///I don't think I could have done that!

I am kind of at a stand still right now on my weight loss, but have not gained either...so I guess that is a good thing!
