Hello! I'm Teresa...an over-fat fitness instructor. You heard me. Over-fat. It happens. In 2010, I had no idea God would allow Spark People's People (YOU) to deliver me from my neglectful and abusive ways.
Weighing 250 pounds isn't the WORST thing that ever happened in my life. After all, as a fitness instructor, I was still kicking the 20 year-old skinny girls' butts in the aerobics room. (Lie) Oh, I am that tough! Unfortunately, the LIE deceiving me was "Girl, you're ok." "You're doing it!" "I know you're hurting inside. I know you want to be lighter, healthier, more balanced in life, but stay deceived! I have more of your life I want to take. I am the DECEIVER. Fill your stomach w/HEALTHY food until it's stuffed. Drink your Diet drinks...NO calories there! Work OUT! Have your guilty pleasures, too, Baby Girl. You deserve it! You DESERVE it!"
I love that girl from 2010. She made it out. ...and you will, too.
It's a new season, girlfriend! I'm praying for you today. God's working on you, and He has opened a new chapter of LIFE for you!

The Back Story...
Phase 1: 2009-2010
Weighing in at 250 pounds, the journey began with reading EVERY word Spark People had to offer. My internet friend, Amy, introduced me to the site. Phase I...for me...was about letting go and letting God. Most all blogs began with scripture and ended with reflections of lessons learned. I diligently studied SPARK, blogged, tracked, and LISTENED to EVERY woman's story. God was using SPARK to change me...one bite at a time.
Phase 2: 2010-2011
Weighing in at 217 pounds, the journey continued with listening to God's plan for my life as HE continued putting people on my path...through Spark People...who would "carry" me on to a healthier lifestyle. I had not yet learned of Clean eating or the principles of 6 small meals, but SPARK helped me "listen" to my body instead of the emotional eating cues. The chains were breaking free.
Phase 3: 2011-2012
Weighing in at 217 pounds...again...Becky was plopped right into my life with a Clean eating regiment that would see me into "onederland." 195 pounds size 14/16 not 22.
Events:
1. Death of Father in Law to cancer
2. Daddy's second stroke
3. Precious Aunt (59) dying before my eyes. (Alcoholism...just like my mother (39).
Phase 4: 2012-2013- Who am I Now?
Weighing in at 205, my resolve is weak. I feel tired...emotionally. Oh, don't misunderstand...I'm NOT going back to the old ways: Mindless eating...binging...punishing and medicating myself with food. No way!
Phase 4...Again: (2013-2014) 195
September 2-195 Here we go!
Phase 4...What? Still? (2014) 195
It's time!
Phase 4...Caregiving. (2015 is approaching...)
Phase 4: Resolve (2016-2017 ) (200 pounds)
1. Thyroid surgery
2. frozen shoulder, joint pain in thumbs
