    Hi from Barbara! I saw your smile on someone's page and had to add you as a friend! I hope you don't mind if I stick my nose in, but I took a class in college about weight loss, and here's what I learned: If you want to lose weight, you need to stay in aerobic activity. Running is an anaerobic activity for people our size. I'm not your size anymore, but I was 209 when I started the journey we are on. Today I found I am 1/2 pound under my goal. Aerobic walking for us is walking as fast as you can without actually running. It gets your heart way up there, but not so far up you go into anaerobic activity. You also should not increase your speed more than 10% per week. That of course, means you need to use your watch to gauge your activity and a map or pedometer to gauge your distance. Please don't take offense, I used to be a long distance runner (12 miles a day at age 40) and I gained 65 pounds with each child which didn't come off! That's why I took the class. I know how hard it is not to run when you've been a runner. But trust me, you walk as fast as you can, you will sweat a bucket of water, and lose the weight much faster than running! Also, my blood pressure has dropped from 185 over 125 to 102 over 60 (as of yesterday at the dr. office). I wish you the best on this journey to health, and I know you will do it!
