CHOOSING Health is to Take the High Road~(read on)

ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS: That is the diagnosis given me when I was 28 years old! Was told by an Orthopedist that I would be crippled and in a wheel chair permanently in my forties and be disabled. I refused to accept that 'dooms day' sentence ..... After defying the crippling effects this brings, with my spine completely fused , I went through unbelievable pain and still have stiffness but ..... many years later, I continue working in health care full time, have centered my life around fitness and exercise and beat all odds!~A rheumatologist who treated me remarked, " whatever you are doing keep it up" ...(swimming and lots of walking) plus most of all, I am a believer.... And my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has brought me through much peril into a place of victory and fulfillment..

Monday: busy day yesterday w/Lilly. She’s getting the hang of going outside for potty. She’d been doing well in her foster home, but change of scenery – she has to get used to it. She’s a quick study, though.

Today I have to make a grocery store run. That’ll be the big ‘outside’ chore today.

Still very windy, cold and raw. Have to get a little coat for Lilly. At 6 lbs. she’s going to need it!

Have to get a check up scheduled for her w/the vet, and a grooming appointment down the road.

Hugs and have a great Monday!

CHANGE: Don’t just talk about it, go out there and do it.

Good habits are as addictive as bad habits but much more rewarding
something we need to remember is it takes at least 2 weeks to get a habit in place for me it takes much longer to correct a bad but its not impossible go

Nothing is over until I stop trying we have our good times on the trail and bad times on trail but never give up on the our journey

The past is a ghost, the future a dream. All we ever have is now. –Bill Cosby

Yes, she was the last of the litter to be adopted. A friend of mine told me about Lilly and that she was being fostered by the groomer who used to do Mr. Spot when we lived in IL. I spke w/her and the asking price was way too high. She sprained her ankle so couldn’t continue to care for Lilly. So .. . . that’s how she became ours. And my friend has a sister of Lilly’s, named Daisy. So, eventually we’re going to get them back together again.

We have these special pee pee pads and she’s doing well with potty training. We put the pee pad by the back door and she goes there to let us know she has to go out. Little whippersnapper!

She is a barrel of energy. NO sitting! So she gives me a 5-star workout. Bonus points . . . she loves to walk! This morning she decided it would be wise to bark @ 2 large german shepherds. Good heavens. They could have eaten her for a snack. Thankfully they were very well trained and their owner had them under control. Meantime I picked Lilly up till they walked past.

    Ready for a rest tonight!
