My Program:
For now I'm following SP suggested program for me. Later, I want to begin incorporating changes from the low GI diet for my health conditions and overall health.

I aim for 8 c. of water daily, 4 serv. of veggies, 3 fruits, and eat only whole grain products. As much as possible I refrain from consuming caffeine, alcohol, MSG, and Aspartame.

Due to the Fibromyalgia, I have to incorporate gentle exercise. So each day I'm doing just 9 min. of the Basic Step workout on my Wii Fit Plus. And every other day I'm doing SP's Basic Workout for total body strength training. I also do 5 min. of stretching each morning when I get out of bed.

Personal Information:
Divorced, no children or pets. Born and raised in Michigan. Moved to Florida 6 yrs. ago.

Other Information:
Recovering addict - clean date: 09/09/09.

I struggle with overeating and I'm still trying to learn how to manage this part of my disease of addiction.

My life was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with FMS/CFS in Feb. But I'm learning how to manage the pain with natural things like supplements, stress reduction, and gentle exercise as well as meditation, guided imagery, and progressive relaxation therapy.

Studies show that even ten minutes of brisk exercise triggers metabolic changes that last at least an hour. If you have any questions & need help, don't hesitate to ask!

I'm late in saying it, but I always enjoy your comments on my blogs. You are either terribly eloquent just naturally, or else you really take the time to make a thoughtful response. In either case, I really appreciate it!

Hope you're doing well, and hope you're hanging in there! I'm making a sort of slow and steady progress of my own, but boy, am I fed up with the scale. It just doesn't say what it's supposed to.

    Take care, and best wishes!

Thanks for the great comment, I appreciate it! You can do this -- keep taking it one small positive step at a time. One of my favorite strategies is small consistent workouts, like setting a goal to do at least 10 minutes of fitness most days. Thanks also for reading The Spark!

    SparkCheers!
