I decided to lose weight when I was suffering from heel pain and my mobility was being affected. I was scared I would hurt myself and never be able to recover from it, at 323lbs this was a real possibility!

I met my original goal of 140lbs in 2010. A loss of 183lbs. My current goal is to get back to 160lbs.

I am still here after re-gaining a significant amount of my losses during 2 pregnancies and post-natal depression. This is something people need to open up and talk about more. My depression left my only caring about the small human entirely dependant on me (literally as I exclusively breast fed for 6 months, and continued until she was 2.6 years old). I didn't care much about myself at all.

I had another baby June 2018, after a difficult pregnancy, and dramatic birth and subsequent complications mean I have a long route to health again. I am exclusively breastfeeding for 6 months, so her health and my supply come first, but healthy eating is never wrong! Even if not losing much weight for now.

Weight loss for anybody or reason other than your own reasons doesn't work. You have to want it yourself.

Thats why I set myself very small weight loss goals, never looked at the 'big' picture as it didnt seem achievable. In doing this, remaining positive in meeting these small goals, they all added up into something much bigger and better.

I cannot deny its been hard, I cannot deny its got me down sometimes, but I also cannot deny its worth it.
Its worth being surprised by yourself at finding a motivation you never believed you would have.

My Goals:
Get back to pre-pregnancy weight, regain strength and health.

My Program:
Education... learning about whats in our foods, whats good nutrition. Lower carbs, trying for under 100g net carbs a day, difficult when sharing meals with my vegetarian husband!

I live in England, on the West Coast, in Blackpool, I grew up near Cambridge.

Other Information:
I am married and have two girls, 1 cat. I love reading, films, cooking, big fan of things like Harry Potter, Terry Pratchett, Buffy and most types of horror films!

    It's so true! Canada is a HUGE swath of land. I am about a 5-6 day drive from Edmonton or a 5 hour plane ride. On the other hand I am only a 2 day drive away from ANOO_YOO. My hometown in a 2.5 hour plane ride away. Heck, it takes me almost an hour to get to Ottawa!
    Interestingly, my cousin is moving to Stony Plain for a new job in August. Stony Plain is very close to Edmonton. I'm happy to hear that a trip to Canada is on your agenda. A trip overseas is on mine.

    I buy ear plugs from the pharmacy or online, but they only help little. I am also allergic to wool! Maybe if I did use wool in my ears, they'd swell shut and stop the noise! emoticon Thank you for your concern, it means a lot to me when people have suggestions and want to help.

    I definitely realize there's a real challenge here, LOL. The reason I asked you is because a lot of what you prepare fits well in to anything I'd be willing to eat and I can clearly see how I can make adjustments to fit all three (there are many Paleo vegetarians, not so many vegans... and if here are they're not offering on-line recipes)... I just need some really good baseline vegan/vegetarian low-carb recipes/resources as a base. Still hoping you might have some specific recommendations.
