I am back in school after 6 years in the "real" world! I am having to study more for this Law Degree than for anything I have ever done before (my goal is 60+ hours of school work a week!), and so I really want to take the time to care for my boday as well as my mind during all this mental exercise. I figure, if I am trying to be the best that I can be, then I have nothing to worry about.

In the last 2 years or so, I have gained 25 pounds!!! I really do not like the way the extra weight I have put on looks on my body. I want it GONE. Forever. I have been unhappy in personal relationships, living in a crappy apartment and working at jobs that I do not like. I realized that if I don't like the way that things are going, then it is my responsiblity to take the steps to make things different. It is empowering to realize that you really don't have to do anything, except for what you decide to do.

SO, off I go on a few new paths. A nicer place, single and about to start back to school after dead end jobs. And most importantly, I am going to make sure that my self concept improves with healthy eating and exercise (which will lead to weightloss, I hope!) IT took my 6 years to get to the point that I could make these things happen. I will thank God every day for the chance to live my life in a way that will make ME happy (and others around me happy also!!!).

My Goals:
1. To take care of myself mentally physically and spiritually. Doing this for myself can only make life better!

2. To be there genuinely for every person that I come in contact with. Mother Teresa did it, Mr. Rodgers did it, so why not me?

3. Let my avocation and my vocation become one- keep my passion for helping people thriving throughout Law School no matter what the priorities of others around me may be.


My Program:
Try to eat only things that are good fuel for my body. Veggies are my main focus- I am trying to cook at home (HARD for just one person!) a majority of meals.

A route near my house is 2 miles, and I am trying to make it 3x a week in 45 minutes or less. So far it has been no problem. Maybe I will start running some...

Very basic strength training- I have a video which I hate, but I sure as H*^% am not going to do it in public. Grit your teeth and do it!
